TOMORROW!
Ya!
My girlfriend Jen is coming over tomorrow night. I am looking so forward to it. I have been so busy with the house stuff, that
I
haven’t
scrapped
a
single
page
in two weeks!
I am so bad. I am so behind on Jakes album and now I am going to start to get behind on Tess’s too! Bad Mommy!
I added a new LO to the slide show in the left hand column. I went back and scrapped the pictures from Tess’s actual birth. I am so glad I did because I am really happy with how they turned out.
On another note, I have been working on the altered flower pot for the class I was suppose to teach this summer at Maggie’s. It is really turning out so cute! I need to get to Joann’s and get the pot so I can finish it up but the flowers are done and look SOOOO CUTE!
I will post them as soon as it is done.
Well sorry for the boring post! I will try to live a more interesting life for the next 24hrs so that the next post is more entertaining!
See Ya!
WALL!
OK
So I have this wall behind my love seat that
I
didn’t
know
what
to
do with!
It drove me crazy! Do I hang some art or a mirror or I don’t know, something. For two years this huge blank wall mocked me. At times it seamed it was laughing at me. At my inability to commit to something in my designers eye and then follow through with it!
THEN
I
saw
IT!
IT was exactly what I NEEDED! (I sound like an eBay commercial! anyways)
IT was in a Pottery Barn catalog and IT was perfect.
A GALLERY WALL!
I could fill that blasted void and display pictures of my BEEEEA-UTIFUL children which I took! I bought the stuff to complete the wall and lo and behold…
NO MORE BLANK WALL!!!
I guess I showed that wall, huh?!?! Don’t mess with me or I’ll pound holes in you!
So.
This post has got to be one of the longest ever about something as silly as a wall, but I am sure that all of you have at one point or another spruced up you house; made it more home-y; stepped back and felt good. If you haven’t, what are you waiting for?
Go out and paint that wall, buy some new furniture, hang a few pictures, you’ll feel great!
Leave me a comment if you too have had the decororating bug lately!
Whoa! 2 posts in one morning! Maybe I’ll even have more tonight!
From Mike’s cousin Ashley’s Graduation Party last weekend.
ba-bye!
I hate dishes!
So when I saw this sign made by Jill Washburn a local artist, I had to have it to go next to my sink. She has the greatest stuff and you can just tell that talent
OOZES
out
of
her!
I met Jill through Mary Rosso, a girl friend of mine who purchased a plaque from Jill for Tess as my shower gift. I loved the plaque so much that I called Jill to have Tess’s hand and foot prints added. That was my biggest mistake! Upon arriving at Jill’s home, I knew I was in trouble! I LOVE her taste in decor and her home is just adorable. I was instantly kicked in the butt to get
NEW
STUFF
FOR
MY
HOME!
Shopping was now necessary! I needed all kinds of new things to give my home a face lift. I will admit that I am a holiday decorator which means that I pretty much decorate for each holiday and never have any "everyday" stuff. This needed to be remedied! I instantly started shopping. I bought the new glass jars in the window and some new over sized candle sticks and candles for the mantel. I need a new pot for my orchid in the window, one that coordinates with the kitchen since I can’t move it from where it sits because it is doing so well there and for fear that it will die somewhere else. I am also buying some frames and a gallery shelf to hang in the living room over the love seat. To be perfectly honest, I have a whole list of stuff I want now. So exciting to see things coming together and looking so good. Really makes me feel good when I look around!
I believe in shopping therapy 110%!
Have a great day!
Em
